The Alberni Valley Social Planning Council is a registered non-profit Society with 10-12 Directors representing individuals, groups, organizations, businesses, government and agencies within the Alberni Valley. We use a Consensus Model of Decision Making and keep in contact with a broad membership/contact list of supportive individuals and agencies.
Our purpose is to foster and enhance a vibrant, caring and healthy Alberni Valley through research, planning, and action. To gather, collate and disseminate information that adequately and accurately reflects the social health, assets and resources of our community.
The AVSPC is an open membership. Members can join our email list for information purposes and attend meetings. Directors are welcome at all times and are registered with the BC Society’s Act. Work with the AVSPC is driven by its members and supported by the Council as a whole.
